Rated 1 out of 5 by from Traveler inverter 500w I bought this about 6 months ago and plunged it into my cigarettes lighter to sharpen knives with a work sharp knife sharpener, in the middle of the first knife it quit working and hasn’t turn on since.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design I have had 2 of these inverters now and for what I am doing they work great until it gets hooked to the battery backwards. Then the fuses blow which they should but the fuses are not user replaceable. If they were I would give the product 5 stars.

What is the input? Can you plug it into your 12 volt cigarette lighter port?

Asked by: SAL2K
There are two sets of input cables included with this unit. If the load is less than 100W, either cable can be used as input (the cigarette cable for the 12V lighter port, or clip cable connecting to 12V lead acid battery). If the load is more than 100W the clip cables are the only connection method which can be used.
