Use one set of DC cables to connect a battery or use two sets of DC cables to connect two batteries. Built-in overheat protection as well as overload and surge protection provide added safety. This power inverter also features a low battery shutdown feature. With a peak output of 1,000W, it delivers powerful operation. Complete with a 1 year limited warranty.

Q: I have been using the inverter, infrequently, for approx 2 months. The load has not changed. Now whenever I try to use it it trips out on overvoltage. I have it connected to a 12 Volt car battery and the load is an LED light (Less then 100 watts)..

Q: This said it has a low battery shutdown. Does this mean I can leave it alligator clipped to my Prius starter battery as long as nothing is plugged into it, and it will shut down before draining the starter battery?

- A: The low battery shutdown function will be activated when inverter is on. If connect inverter to the Prius starter battery but inverter is switched off, the low battery shutdown function won’t be activated. If inverter is on and also be clipped to Prius starter battery, no matter it is plugged with appliance or not, the inverter will shut off when battery voltage is lower than 10.5V.4 years agoHelpful?

Runs cool, great capacity, includes all wiring

This Traveller 500W inverter is exactly what I needed. The capacity is spot on—it works flawlessly in my 2005 GMC 2500 HD for everyday use, and it easily handles higher wattage demands when I hook it up directly to my deep cell batteries. It runs remarkably cool even under a load, and the connectivity is great since it comes with all the necessary hardware and cables right out of the box.
I also have to highlight its impressive safety and durability. I bought one of these 7 years ago and it was actually flooded with water at one point. After letting it dry out for just one day, it fired right up and worked perfectly! The built-in GFCI capability provides excellent peace of mind against shocks, and the fact that my heavily abused older model is still ticking speaks volumes. Highly recommend!

Best bang for the buck

Works perfect, see people talking junk that can’t even hold up to 230w to charge a laptop and this that and the other. Well if your going through the cigarette outlet to charge it up, you must not have wanted it charged bad enough, or your a half-@$$ person because it works 100% fine to me but that’s probably because I take my time and I hook it straight to the battery so that I have a constant steady power supply.. if someone that has cried about it not charging your laptop through the cigarette outlet is reading this by any chance. I would like you to please reconsider and give it one more try and just see how it does for you hooked straight to the battery this time. But I truly recommend this pro tip just for the cigarette outlet people only, hook the negative to the positive and the positive side to the negative side and your laptop will be running top notch there buckaroo.
But seriously amazing product if your a man with common sense that knows how to run it.
I would most def recommend it to a friend

I bought this to use on my boat. It did not work in the cigarette lighter plug, as my laptop drew too much power. But, when I hooked it directly to the battery with the included clips, it worked fine. I had a smaller single plug unit that I used to plug into the outlet and it worked fine. This unit draws more power, so I needed to direct connect to the battery.
