Q: Electrician here. Bought two of these lights for my utv hooked them up and….. nothing. They won’t light up. Put a meter on the circuit and it says 12volts running through the circuit. Yet the lights don’t turn on. This defies logic!

Q: Do the lights have the male plug already on them to plug into the wiring harness? I had two in my hand to check out when I saw a wire with no plug in the box, but couldn't see much without opening the packaging.

  • A: There is approx 3 foot of wires from the lamp to a 2 prong male/female plug set, then about 6 inches of wire pigtail.

Not adjustable

I tested the light after I got it wired to my snowmobile trailer to use as a back up light, and to illuminate, the rear of the trailer when loading and unloading after dark. The light's bright enough. However, the mounting hardware is ridiculous. The box described the light as adjustable, but the bracket and mounting screws leave the light completely floppy and you can't hold it in place and aim it. It seems to only be intended to have the bracket mounted flat parallel with the ground and then have the light in the bracket at 90°. If you want to mount the bracket Perpendicular to the ground on the back of a snowmobile trailer it flips all over and can't be tightened down to hold a position. It's ridiculous. This light is so resistant to being placed in one position and held there, that I actually snapped the head off a quarter inch zinc bolt, trying to tighten that by running a bolt all the way through the bracket and both holes . The bolt had snapped off from overtightening before the light would stay in position. I eventually gave up on using any bolts and drilled self tapping screws through the existing holes in the light into a place in the bracket. Therefore it now rests on the back of my snowmobile trailer, completely unadjustable, but at least pointed in the general direction I wanted it.
