Q: Can I replace my existing fog lights on a 2009 silverado without adding any relays? Just wire them into the existing wiring from the oem lights?

- A: Generally, you can replace the fog light with our lamps, but we are not sure if the existing wiring system including any monitoring system to control the current and power. So we suggest to use Traveller wiring harness SKU# 1169555 which has built in relay.4 years agoHelpful?

Q: I installed lights in my rear bumper, used a "y" cable to link them, installed the harness. I did change out the switch for the Traveller illuminated switch. I also had to add in additional wire to connect harness to "y" connector. Why am i blowing fuses?

- A: It is complicated and could have below possibilities: 1. If you add the additional wiring, please double check the polarity of the negative and positive. 2. Please make sure you use correct and workable fuse for these lights and put 5A fuse in the fuse holder. 3. Please figure out where is the problem. If you connect the wiring with other good lights and works, there is some issues on your lights. Please return lights. If the other lights do not work as well, please return the wiring for a replacement.6 years agoHelpful?

Durable, great light output, low price

Second set I've installed, install is easy enough.
On the first install I bought the 'Y' harness and made up my own relay harness for connection to the vehicle.
Second vehicle I used the 'Y' harness and the traveler relay harness, this had to be modified for length, the wire to the light was too long and the pigtail to the switch was too short I should have just made my own relay harness again especially after finding out that the switch doesn't light up. :|
Overall the lights are very bright Like 3x brighter than stock headlights bright!
No issues with lights burning out with several hundred hours on the first vehicle
Lights do put off quite a bit of heat not burning hot but definitely uncomfortable to touch after an hour

I’ve had these lights almost a year. They are used as fog lights on my pickup truck, so they are not constantly running. They are bright. My issue is they are not waterproof as expected. Once winter hit, one of the lights took on water from the snow and faded. It didn’t completely burn out but it’s so dim it might as well be burned out. My buddy has the same problem with the more expensive version of these lights. We purchased them at the same time.

Love the lights. Hate the RF noise.

I inset these lights in the flat panels below the bumper in my 2017 RAM They fit and look great. However, they absolutely kill my radio reception with RF noise. I've looked for a filter capacitor to put on the power lines to try to cut it down. but so far, found nothing that looks like it will work. Just be aware.
