Our 109-gallon refueling tank system is Department of Transportation (DOT) legal to carry and transfer gasoline, diesel, methanol/ethanol, and kerosene. The easy-to-use hose-purge feature allows you to pull any fuel left in the hose back into the refueling tank to eliminate messes in the truck bed and stretch your extra fuel capacity even further. The 109-gallon refueling tank is made from 12-gauge high-yield U.S. aluminized steel for superior durability and strength and powder-coated black for a durable satin finish. As with all Transfer Flow fuel tank systems, this refueling tank comes complete with all parts needed for installation.

Q: Can this be used as a permanent tank not in a vehicle but a shop to fill utv's snowblowers vehicles etc? also doe it have a place to put a padlock? And one more final question thank you how could it be powered safely not in a vehicle?

- A: This tank could be used in a shop – but reminder: it will contain fuel so do not place near flames or heat sources. There is also an on/off/purge switch. This switch is not designed to be outside and is not ‘weatherproof.’ Otherwise, I do not see any other issue. A padlock is included with the product, so you can lock the nozzle in place, if you wish. A power source (battery) is needed to generate the pump.6 years agoHelpful?

- A: This pump will not work for this application, however, Transfer Flow does offer a product that is comes equipped with an aviation pump and fuel filter. It is manufacturer part number 080AP09416 and is only available through special order at your local Tractor Supply store.7 years agoHelpful?

- A: The tank is DOT approved for a 12-ft. hose and that is how it is sold. If you were to add a 50-ft. hose after the purchase, it is not DOT legal. Also, lengthening the hose will affect the ability of how fast the pump will work; longer hose, longer pump time.7 years agoHelpful?

This 109 gallon tank was more expensive than most, but it appears to be money well spent. Mine is mounted on a flatbed truck, so the fact that this tank is 6" shorter than most enables visibility out the rearview mirror and I can turn around and see the bed easily when hooking up a trailer. Seems to be very well built, thick enough metal, clean welds and squared up. Locking cap is top notch, although I don't lock it often. Wiring harness and switch is solid if you need it and plenty of wire length, I ended up cutting mine off and using a factory switch in my cab chassis. I like how the pump is recessed because it makes it easier to access the pump from the ground and is better protected. Pump comes installed and I assume pressure tested, no leaks on mine. The only thing that it lacks would be a cover for the pump to keep the weather off it, which would be easy enough to make with a piece of metal, some hinges, and a little JB Weld to attach to the tank.....
