Q: I'm needing to use a hay steamer- what level of heat can these withstand?

- A: Hi DWood! We do not recommend using this net for steaming hay as it's primary material is Poly. Companies that make hay steamers (such as Haygain) explicitly state that you should only use specialized, heat-resistant nets inside their units. They warn that standard plastic or polyester stable nets will rapidly degrade, melt, or leach chemical odors onto the forage when subjected to high-pressure steam.5 days agoHelpful?
Q: Is there a warranty on these nets? Mine has been hanging under a barn and the ‘hanging’ string has already broken. Totally out of animals reach. It’s less than three months old.

- A: Thank you for your inquiry. Honestly the life of the hay net really depends on the horse. We have had customers that have said these bags lasted them a few seasons and then we have had some that have said they only lasted a month, but that was "normal" for their horse due to it being more destructive.8 years agoHelpful?
Q: Would this be good to use for a 36"mini horse overnight in his stall?

- A: We usually recommend a hay bag that has 1 1/2" openings for mini's to offer even slower intake, but if this net is hung at a proper height that does not allow the mini to be able to paw at the net there should be no problem. Thank you!8 years agoHelpful?

Don't use this product for goats.

I would not recommend using this product. My goat somehow got his head through the holes and just found him dead hanging strangled from this feeder.

Great Hay Bag
I really like this hay bag! It holds a good amount of hay and definitely helps slow my horse down. I also notice a lot less hay being wasted compared to just throwing it in the stall. It’s sturdy, easy to fill, and has held up well so far. Definitely happy with this purchase!
