The ToolTuff Direct 4.5 in. Log Splitter Cylinder boasts a durable, all-welded design. Our cylinders will replace your original worn-out double-acting TSC Husky, SplitMaster, Oregon, SpeeCo and many other cylinders that have the double-ear mounting clevis as shown in our pictures without any modifications needed. Most of the time they are direct-fit.

Dirty Hand Tools splitter replacement cylinder

The two complaints I have -first, I didn't notice from pix of the cylinder the two ports are not oriented at 90 degrees to the mounting bracket, so now my control lever is not level with the ground, but sticks up in the air a bit. Still usable, but not as handy. Secondly, they shipped the cylinder with oil in it, with a threaded plug in each inlet port, but one plug was barely threaded in, and both the inner and outer boxes were soaked with oil, which panicked me when I was opening the packages , initially, until I figured out what was wrong. After installation, it seems to work fine. The guy at TSC in Boone was friendly and very helpful, carried the 70+ lb. box out to my car for me, and when I called him the next day to let him know about how oil soaked everything was, before I installed it, he reassured me he'd work with me to make everything right if there was a problem. Sorry, don't know his name.
