The Tomcat Tunnel Trapping System is an innovative way to eliminate chipmunks, rats, squirrels or other unwanted pests from around yards, landscaping and farms. Excellent to use when conventional rodent baits aren't allowed or available. Complete Trapping System includes 2 heavy duty reusable snap traps and 1 protective tunnel station. Chipmunks or other pests enter the station and are quickly and humanely killed by the powerful snap traps. Always check state and local regulations regarding animal trapping.

Not Entirely Sure How to Rate This Item

We apparently have an infestation from under neighbors' storage buildings behind and adjacent to our back yard. (We've had to resort to taking down bird feeders before evening and locking them in a deck box, so rats now appear in daylight...ravenous) We've killed four so far with the tunnel trap alone in combination with bait boxes, but this last one was questionable because it was so large it dragged the entire tunnel (it was weighted down with an eight pound dumb-bell) halfway across our yard before it removed one of its legs (foot, leg and hindquarter). Definitely a rat. We also discovered a large rat snake making an appearance (I'm leaving that guy alone to do his job). Usually the traps are tripped with nothing in them... then sometimes a clean kill, but not this time. There's a city ordinance against using firearms in city limits, so that's out. I'm still up in the air about rating this item being the best method to kill them because it does work. I guess I need to use patience and continue trapping, baiting and taking in feeders at night...or just stop feeding birds completely.

Worth Every Penny

I generally don't leave reviews because when I buy something I expect it to work, but this product was a game changer. I started to see the presence of chipmunks frequently so I wanted to take care of the problem before it got out of hand. I bought two of these traps and what I found out is that their population was already out of hand. I bought these traps exactly two weeks ago and I've caught 19 chipmunks, 2 voles, and 1 red squirrel. I plan on purchasing one or two more and place in my large spruce for red squirrels. I'm sure placement is key and as long as they remain active I will continue to check them everyday. Small rodents and ants will eventually remove bait so checking them is key. Good Luck!

Humane kill of rats chipmunks and even mice

I needed this for chipmunks which are hard to trap. But I've managed to get 3. They are able to eat the peanut butter without snapping the trap 75% of the time but I am persistent.
