I really can't tell if these traps work or not. I purchased eight of them to help around my barn because of a rat problem. Within 2 days all the traps are now missing. Either I have super sized rats or these things are able to be carried away by injured rats. I can't tell because they are missing. They should have included some way of tying or anchoring these things down

Works great with right bait

Works great. Attic rats getting into garage, set the trap each night gets one each night. I screw it down to a big hunk of plywood because 1) keeps it from getting dragged away 2) concentrates full inertia force on the closing power. Tried peanut butter then pc of chicken at first no luck. But they find the dry dog food bits irresistible.

This trap is poorly designed. I caught one rat the first night, it had its whole front leg in the trap and had died of shock, probably. The second night I was nearby when it caught the rat and again it was only one front leg caught and it wasn’t fatal. This trap is really cruel and poorly designed compared to the old reliable wood and steel rat traps This trap belongs in the trash..
