Timber Tuff's TMW-79UT Tree Felling Jack allows you to fell a tree in any direction. The three section, telescoping tube has a collapsed length of 56" and extends to 102".     Great concept poor design

    The cog doesn't line up properly with the holes allowing it to strip out easily. If it had a gear box it would probably work better. Barley got pressure on the tree and the jack failed on the very first use. Thankfully we had wedges already in place before relying on the jack wich brought the tree over with ease.

    Tree felling jack failure

    The teeth of the rack and pinion system stripped out the first time I tried it. The teeth that are supposed to dig into the tree trunk aren't sharp enough to really dig in. When the handle is cranked, it tends to rock the jack side to side, which tends to reduce the teeths grip on the tree trunk. On the bright side, TS refunded my full purchase price with no questions asked.
