We made this gate wheel flat free and a full 16 inches diameter so that it will roll over turf, uneven ground, and paved surfaces. This is the perfect item for supporting the dragging end of long farm gates weighing up to 400 lbs. ( Needs 7.5" clearance between gate and post) . In addition, it helps to keep the hinge post vertical and reduces wear and tear on the hinges. The wheel has a steel hub and dual ball bearings to insure smooth operation. The mounting bracket is made from 1/4 inch thick precision welded carbon steel and it has a 96 hour salt spray rated zinc electroplate finish. Installation can take as little as 30 minutes and does not require welding. The set attaches with 3 custom clamps with a flat inside radius that insures maximum grip without pinching or binding. This also allows the height to be adjusted over a wide range. Needs 7.5" clearance between gate and post.
