  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. The user manual recommends: THERMOSTATIC CONTROL: SunFire heaters can be connected to a thermostat to regulate the ambient temperature. Use a simple wall thermostat that does not require an external power source. Supplying power to the thermostat circuit will damage the primary control of the heater. Please use a basic, battery or mechanically-operated thermostat. Q: will this heater heat a 40x40 ,12 foot wall shop

    A: Yes, the SF120 will easily heat a shop of your size. A 20'-25' ceiling is much more of a standard on our square footage so this will heat your shop very easily. You may want to use in conjunction with a standard wall thermostat as it will likely get quite warm in your shop and you may want to regulate it. It comes with a thermostat hookup and any standard battery or mechanical wall thermostat will work.

Unit was quiet with no odor at all. Compact size and can be used in multiple settings. We came across this product while outdoors on a cold night and it kept a large group very comfortable!
