- A: Hello, thank you for your question. The user manual recommends: THERMOSTATIC CONTROL: SunFire heaters can be connected to a thermostat to regulate the ambient temperature. Use a simple wall thermostat that does not require an external power source. Supplying power to the thermostat circuit will damage the primary control of the heater. Please use a basic, battery or mechanically-operated thermostat. - A: Yes, the SF120 will easily heat a shop of your size. A 20'-25' ceiling is much more of a standard on our square footage so this will heat your shop very easily. You may want to use in conjunction with a standard wall thermostat as it will likely get quite warm in your shop and you may want to regulate it. It comes with a thermostat hookup and any standard battery or mechanical wall thermostat will work.a year agoHelpful?
