Q: Does it work also when you sprinkle granules in the soil of potted plants? I have gnats and eggs in my potted plants. Does it work both ways or do you recommend mixing water with granules only in order for it to work?
6 months ago- A: It will work either way.6 months agoHelpful?
Q: Is this safe in my horses water to control mosquitos?
11 months ago- A: Yes, Mosquito Bits are approved for use in stock tanks and other animal watering tanks.11 months agoHelpful?
Q: Is this safe to use in the yard where kids will be playing?
a year ago- A: Yes it is, but note that Mosquito Bits are designed to be used in standing water to kill mosquito larvae. Unless there is standing water in your yard, Mosquito Bits will not work in the yard.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Can product be used in raised beds and potted fruit containers
a year ago- A: Yes, this can be used in any soil including raised beds and potted fruit containers for fungus gnat larvae control.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Can i use in my dogs drinking water and pool ?
a year ago- A: Yes you can but we would recommend Mosquito Dunks as a better option. The Mosquito Dunks last much longer. If you already have mosquito larvae in the water, start with Mosquito Bits for a quick kill and then maintain the water with Mosquito Dunks. Depending on the surface size of the water, Mosquito Dunks can be broken into smaller chunks to save money. Each full Dunk treats up to 100 square feet of surface water, regardless of depth.a year agoHelpful?
Q: How do I properly and safely use this where chickens are free ranging, and inside chicken coops too maybe?
a year ago- A: Mosquito Bits only kill the mosquito larvae that are found in standing water. If your chickens are near standing water such as a pond, a stock tank, a swampy area, those areas can be treated with Mosquito Bits to kill mosquito larvae. Mosquito Bits are perfectly safe to use in any standing water and will not harm your chickens. I'm not sure that you would have standing water in a coop as I would think that the only possible standing water in a coop might be the water for chickens to drink. As long as you change that out every few days, there would be no need to treat it.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Is this product effective against aphids and mites in outdoor potted plants?
2 years ago- A: No, it is only labeled to control fungus gnat and mosquito larvae2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can it be used in birdbaths?
2 years ago- A: Yes, just a pinch is needed. Replace weekly or use a small piece of Mosquito Dunk monthly.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can I use on houseplants for a fungus gnat problem?
2 years ago- A: Yes, it is perfect for use on houseplants to kill the fungus gnat larvae2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this hurt water that carnivorous plants sit in? They are so sensitive to everything including the water.
2 years ago- A: I honestly do not know the answer to this. For most plants there is no issue at all and the biological active ingredient should have no effect. We use a food grade mineral oil to attach to bacteria to the corn cob granule and while it is a trace amount, if your carnivorous plants are that extremely sensitive, I would suggest trying it on one plant to be sure there is no adverse reaction.2 years agoHelpful?
