Q&As

1 - 10 of 118 Questions

Q: Will this product kill Japanise Knotweed

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! Yes, FarmWorks 53.8% Glyphosate Concentrate will kill Japanese Knotweed, as its high-strength systemic formula penetrates deep to exhaust the plant's aggressive underground rhizome root system. However, because Japanese Knotweed is incredibly resilient, completely eradicating a patch usually requires persistent, multi-year follow-up applications.

Q: How much do you mix for each gallon of water

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! For standard weed control using FarmWorks 53.8% Glyphosate Concentrate, you should mix 1.5 to 2.5 fluid ounces of product per 1 gallon of water. For tougher perennial weeds or woody brush, the ratio can be increased up to 3 to 5 fluid ounces per gallon, depending on your target vegetation. Because mixing or applying agricultural chemicals incorrectly can cause severe skin irritation, unintended crop destruction, or environmental runoff, you must always read the complete official FarmWorks product label and follow all personal protective equipment requirements before spraying.

Glyphosate is glyphosate

Just as good as Roundup for killing weeds. My only complaint is in the instructions I discovered that the 41% and the 53.8% give the same dilution tables. This made me realize that they were describing a 1.5% solution of either 41% or 53.8% which have very different amounts of active ingredients. You should adjust the amount to get the optimal dilution for your application. I also was not prepared for the 3X price increase in the last year.

Stocking and Pricing of Commonly-Used Weed Killer

While I received my order in a timely fashion, as promised, it is truly frustrating that the cost has increased by almost 100% in just the last few years. So much so that I am likely to start making this purchase from the county Co-Op, where it is 1/3 less than what Tractor Supply is charging. Additionally, the local Co-Op has it on the shelf whereas Tractor Supply took it off of their shelves a couple of years ago. That move makes no sense to me, since most Tractor Supplies are located in or in close proximity to local ranching/farming communities. By removing the needed products from the shelves and replacing them with products that someone that lives in a residential area would use, forces the local farmers and ranchers to resort to the local Co-Ops, even if it is a farther drive.

Bamboo ( Japanese Knotweed

IMPORTANT! I haven’t used this product yet. I’m hoping it gets same results as Round Up. IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! I have read about people dealing with “ bamboo “ . The plant is probably Japanese Knotweed. I had a VERY big problem with this plant. If possible contact a person with extensive knowledge about this plant. There is too much info needed to just half heartedly spray ANY weed killer. This plant will spread extremely fast. It can’t be burned, the smoke will carry it to a different location. It can’t be put in with vegetation being processed by a city, county. It WILL stop a mortgage from going through. It is on the countries most invasive plant list. This nasty plant requires detailed knowledge of what propagates its spread and structural dwelling damage it can cause.
