Spartan sticks absolutely work and are amazing. Reading the negative reviews, it seems people have the misconception that these are mosquito traps and get upset that they don’t find dead mosquitoes inside, but that is not the purpose. Read the instructions and you will see that they Attract the mosquitoes and deliver poison to them which kills them and their eggs away from the sticks. We lived in Louisiana on 10 acres with creek beds and ponds and Spartan sticks almost completely eliminated the mosquito population around our home the last five or so years since we started using them.

These did not work at all. We live in NC and the mosquitos had been awful so we bought 4 and put 1 in a heavily populated area to see how it did. We left it for 3 weeks and had a beetle, but not 1 mosquito. We never put the other 3 up and returned them.
