The Sports Afield Preserve Fireproof and Waterproof 40-Gun Safe provides all the essentials for security, giving you total peace of mind. Our proprietary Triple Seal technology creates a seal against fire, smoke, and water damage. This long gun safe is constructed out of industrial grade steel with a fortified Uni-Weld body and eight 1.5 in. steel locking bolts. It features a fully programmable electronic lock and comes with two Fail Safe override keys. Q: Can you remove the door for moving?

A: Hello Diverd50, yes you can remove the door to make transporting the safe a little easier. If you open the door past the frame you can lift the door straight up and it will come off of the hinges. Inside the hinges are a ball bearing and hinge pin that will need to be in place when the door is put back on. A: There are multiple adjustable selves on the right side of the interior. Pockets on the door interior. The interior is covered with a low grade carpet to protect your items.

Q: can I have this gun safe moved into my house...first floor... I don't need mounting. Is there extra charge?? Curbside does not help me... Also, can I target the delivery date?? going out of town for holidays...after New years would be good...

A: So the company that delivered my safe, the driver only had a pallet jack, so moving it into the house was not an option. I had he put into my garage, and later hired a moving company to get it into my home. As far as getting an exact date when it will be delivered, is tough. Keep checking your tracking but as far as being able to set a date, I couldn’t. If you didn’t buy directly from store, then online purchase will be delivered when they get to it. Hope this helps, but Love the safe, can’t beat it for the $ .

I believe Sports Afield was originally a magazine from over 100 years ago. Anyway, the name has been around a long long time, and you can trust it. I've had this beast for 8 years now, and it still looks and works flawlessly. I own two other safes, one an old dial that is a pain to open, and the other digital but without keys. The Sports Afield safe came with 2 strange long skeleton-like keys, and these give peace of mind over my other digital safe (which I've been temporarily locked out of before). No matter what happens to the Sports Afield, I know I can get into it mechanically. But this digital system (and ease of changing combinations) have never given me problems. None! And the thing really is pretty dang beautiful -- still like new. Best of all, the genuine comfort it affords from knowing my possessions are safe is truly priceless. I would definitely buy it again. (Note: Buy a bigger safe than you think you'll need, and always, ALWAYS bolt safes down! Even big ones.) I love this safe.

Received with a small dent in the door. Very hard to see it though. Otherwise would have been 5 stars. Perfect for what my wife and I need. Our primary needs are fire protection and keeping the grandkids away from our firearms and emergency cash. Would highly recommend for others with similar needs.

Worth the money

Safe is as advertised and built well. Very happy with my choice however the alarm that is included is extremely touchy, it goes off when the door is open if I jiggle the safe too much and it is very quiet. Otherwise the safe is excellent
