Got this as a gift and im in love the weight and length.

I got mine just yesterday (January 09, 2026 around 2:00 p.m. Philippine Local Time). It appears to be brand-new old stock from my dealer since it still had the old SOG logo. As soon as I opened that sealed box and gazed upon this knife, my mouth dropped in awe! It was wickedly beautiful from end-to-end, fit and finish were superb, and the knife was deploying, locking up, and disengaging from lock-up like the champ it was. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, the jimping is just right, and you'd especially love it if you're a big guy like me. There is so much more I want to say about the SOG Seal XR, but rather than doing that, I would just go out and use it like the excellent field tool it was meant to be. So if you're on the fence, here is a piece of unsolicited advice - JUST BUY IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Peace out from the Philippines.

In my opinion SOGs’ best knife. I wouldn’t want to carry it as a EDC. However, for tactical-wartime efforts, defensive home techniques, and hunting, it’s BETTER than PERFECT. Just got this knife. So far it has outperformed any other knife. Ipens smooth and fast and locks securely. The handle fits my hand perfectly and has a great grip design and very solid feel. This knife is made for extreme conditions and life saving situations. I need to buy one for all my friends. Outstanding SOG
