The SmartStraps Standard Duty Padded D-Handle Ratchet Tie Down strap is used for securing lighter loads often often hauled in a pick-up truck or on a small trailer such as dirt bikes, ATVs, and lawn tractors. The standard duty ratchet tie down is stronger and more user friendly than standard ratchet tie downs. Includes a securing strap to make it easy to tie off excess webbing or to keep your straps bundled after use and has extra long webbing on the attachment end for hard-to-reach anchor points. All but impossible to release

Thought I might have purchased a good ratchet strap. I was totally wrong. These have an aluminium frame which warped (spred) after the first use. This made it impossible to release the handle and loosen the strap. The handle frame spred enough that the ratchet will not release. Ended up having to release both catches and hold them while trying to loosen the strap. As soon as you released the catch on the short side it would wedge back between the handles and it was impossible to pull the strap. I think I used or tried to use them twice. They were not used for any type of heavy duty tasks. I will salvage the straps. The frames will end up in the trash. The aluminium frame straps are junk and not worth the money in my opinion.

No, I do not recommend this product.

These straps are good quality. Appears the ratchets are out of spec. They do not release and require a screw driver or pliers to release them. I feel for the price there are better options.

These straps are NOT good!

I used these straps to strap my lawn tractor to my trailer. Used 4 straps 1 on each corner and 2 of them pulled apart going down the road.
