Rutland 3 in. Pellet Stove/Dryer Vent Brush with 20 ft. handle is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool for the price I got the last one of these in stock at a local TSC. Others may be built tougher, but for the price it was great, and it did work for me. I realize it is almost all plastic so I let the pipe fully cool (which is a good idea anyway, don't need to get burned), and take it easy. Any binding of the brush and I backed off before pushing farther. I was able to clean the 7 ft straight rise. Then the horizontal section, 90 degrees through the tee, through 2 ft of straight, then worked it a little more and got it through the 45 to the stove collar. The handle is coiled, so that can be used to your advantage to direct it through elbows. Then I unbolted the exhaust blower to clean it and make sure the brush made it all the way which it did. I did this when it was about 30F outside, and the brush was stored in the house. I would recommend keeping the brush warm. If it is -20F and you store the brush outside, I can see where the plastic may become very brittle and snap easily. Again, you can get a brush that is tougher but it will cost you more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easily breaks I bought this and when I tried to straighten it enough to start it in the vent it snapped in half. Bad product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't Use A Metal Brush On Pellet Stove Vent Pipe! I saw the reviews here, and it should go without saying that you don't use a plastic vent cleaning brush on a hot vent pipe. The cleaner is plastic for a reason. Metal brushes should NOT be used on the interior surface of a pellet stove vent. It is not like regular wood stove vents and needs to remain shiny and smooth. A metal brush will ruin your pellet stove vent in 1 use. I've used this brush for an entire season and never had the problems these people have reported. When used appropriately it works great and won't break.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic Brush for pellet stove pipe????? We needed to clean out the pipe and of course the pipe was obviously still hot from being used, it's winter after all. The brush melted and is now useless. I think it should be a wire brush!!
