The woodpeckers along with other smaller birds flock to this suet. They seem to love it and it is easier to manage than seed, with more nutrients and being somewhat squirrel retardant, I really like these cakes. Also, they don't melt in New England summers which is a plus!

This is the first time I have ordered suet online and had it delivered to my home. This is not the same suet that is sold in the store even though it has the same name. The ingredients differ and the coloration of the suet is darker than what I buy in the store. The birds don't seem to like it as much either. They are not eating it as well. I won't buy any more of this. I'll have to resort to the suet in the store and hope they have it in stock whenever I come to buy it. I won't be ordering any more like this. I'm disappointed that it wasn't made clear that it wasn't the same as the "in store" suet.
