- A: Steps for filling your feeder. 1. Unscrew the bottle from the base ( counterclockwise) 2.Hold bottle with bottle opening facing up and fill to the top ( recommend fill over a sink or outdoors) continue to hold bottle reattach the collar, roatate clockwise until the collar and bottle are firmly alligned and tight. 3.Quickly invert the feed upright and it is ready to hang in your yard ( recommned to invert outdoors) The glass bottle is clear, you will be able to see amount in the feeder. Change the nectar every other day, or more often in hot weather, and clean the feeder thoroughly to prevent mold and bacteria growth.11 months agoHelpful?

Very disappointed in this hummingbird feeder. It never held the hummingbird feed it leaked all over and only stays in the base. But would overflow out of everywhere and even leaked when Filling it up.
No, I do not recommend this product.
