I'm loving my new grill. I look forward to smokin some turkey!

This grill was a replacement for one received prior, which had been damaged in shipment with large dents, deep scratches, and hardware that didnt fit. When I put it together, I noticed some od thr same damage as was o the first grill, but not quite as bad, so I decided to keep this one. I followed to the letter the instructions on 'curing' the grill (small fire, burning for well over 3 hours, etc.), and was looking forward to grilling a meal. My first session was actually pretty small, as i was only grilling 4 burgers, so the coals were not spread out very much and the fire wasn't large and only reached about 375 degrees. After the grill cooled down, i noticed some of the paint bubbling up on the lid; when i opened the lid, i saw that there was a spot on the inside of the lid where the paint was burned off. I decided to grill the following night, and thus time the coals werw spread out to accommodate the chicke on the grates; after grilling this, the paint was completely off the outside of the lid, exposing shiny metal, and the grill pan also has a spot where the finish has burned off, exposing bare metal on both the top and bottom. I have been advised to return the grill, or at least request another lid and grill pan to replace the faulty ones.
