the real deal, cooking grill

had this grill for 3 years, in the past i purchased cheaper versions only to rot out and rust and malfunction, this grill is the real deal, its a work horse, very well made and the adjustment from 4" from the meat to almost 10-11" inches gives you more control of how you cook.

Nice Charcoal Grill

I have been a Weber "guy" for 30+ years. My old performer was starting to fall apart and I started a search. I wanted: simplicity, durability, and a solid cooking area larger than what I had. This grill (The Judge) is everything I wanted and then some. the coal box is easily moved vertically for searing to indirect needs (I got it up to 800 deg!). I have done some simple indirect methods with the likes of chicken and even ribs, but I use this unit as my "grill" - not smoker (I use a BIG GREEN EGG XL for long smokes.) TIP for manufacturer and users: I did add Grill Chef grill gasket to the main cover to properly seal it and provide better temp regulation for indirect/longer cooks. This has helped immensely now with little smoke coming out anywhere except from the chimney fitting to the cover. (I will remediate that with stove tape from the inside). GREAT BUY!! thank you.
