Q: Can the wire be driven over with a tractor or vehicles after its on the ground? Also can the wire be placed in ground inside conduit or something to protect it?

Q: In YardMax mode, how does the collar receiver know it's approaching the boundary wire from inside the containment area or outside the containment area?
6 years ago- A: Thank you for this great question! The collar only responds based on signal; the collar itself does not 'know' whether it is inside or outside the boundary. In YardMax mode, no signal is emitted from the wire on the interior side. This means that the collar will only activate when they begin to cross the wire. The collar will then activate until they back up within the containment area and it loses signal, they pass forward out of the extended signal area and the collar loses signal, or until the collar activates for the maximum amount of 15 seconds. In either case, the collar will not be able to activate again until the collar approaches the wire from the interior side again. This means that if your pet did leave the yard, no static correction would occur for crossing back into the yard.6 years agoHelpful?

7 years ago- A: That's a great question! The wire does need to be in a continuous loop, that both starts and ends at the transmitter. However, you can still use the house as a side of the boundary, by using our Double Loop Layout.
