Still a stinky mess

I have 2 cats. My litter box is in an open laundry room. Due to the design and type of litter of this box- the cat pee does not get raked up with the poop- it just mixes in with the crystal litter everytime the rake scoops poop. This box does nothing to control odor. The poop just piles up under the plastic hood- but you still smell it- and you still have to either dump the entire tray of litter (weekly with my 2 cats) or scoop the pile of poop out from under the hood anyway. I did get the reusable plastic tray and the crystal litter does not fully soak up my cats pee. I have to still (at least) bi weekly empty the whole litter tray and scrape cat pee from the bottom of the tray. It just doesn’t cut back on odor or maintenance for me. I’ll be spending about $20 more to get one that rotates and puts the poop AND pee in a separate waste container I just need to empty. This is not low fuss, low maintenance or low odor. Crystal litter is also more expensive. Lots of negatives- no positives for this one unfortunately.

We were given this product as a gift at first the cat used it but the longer it was there when using the box that comes with it his nails would scratch a hole in the bottom of it and he would get all over the place well he finally stopped using it to pee in and we'll pee on the floor outside of the box then we ordered the metal box he doesn't like the feel of the metal on his claws I don't know why you can't just use regular plastic the kind that comes with regular litter boxes anyway we're unhappy with this product

This litter box came with a cardboard tray and has no place to put a liner bag. It doesn’t clean well at all the poop and pee get stuck to the rack, and when it “cleans,” it barely picks anything up. It actually makes the smell worse because the waste gets smeared into the rack and pushed to one side. The tray only lasts about two days before it’s unusable. It only does one sweep and ends up dragging the mess back the other way, and sometimes it doesn’t work at all. I bought it thinking it would help, but after the first day I’m already looking for something else. Honestly, this is the worst litter box I’ve tried. A basic, nonautomatic one works better.

This box does not utilize liners, and liners should not be added as they would cause drag and damage the box over time. We do apologize for any misunderstanding. Liners are not needed, as the only trays compatible with this box are disposable trays which are thrown away once they reach the end of their lifespan, or reusable trays which are designed to be easy to clean and change the litter in without a liner. Waste sticking to the rake lets us know that the waste is still overly moist when the rake moves.
