This Permatex Thread Sealant is an economical general-purpose fitting sealant. It outperforms tapes and pipe dopes to seal and resist pressure in air, oil, diesel fuel, and hydraulic systems. The automobile thread sealant remains pliable at higher and lower temperatures and also resists common shop fluids.

  • Directions: Clean threads, apply a continuous bead, and spread evenly. Assemble parts and tighten (the sealant remains pliable). Use isopropyl alcohol to remove excess dried sealant.
