MONTEZUMA DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY!!! I bought this box from Tractor Supply 3 years ago solely based on the fact that it had a 5 year warranty, I liked the box so much that I’ve sold 25-30 of these boxes to other people who liked them just as much as I did, fast forward to now when I noticed a cracked spot weld in the corner of the lid where it’s welded to the hinge that is causing the lid to split at the hinge area (this box has been very well taken care of and it’s never been beaten on, abused, dropped, impacted, etc…) so I contacted Montezuma for the warranty to which they fought tooth and nail to deny saying it’s an impact damage when there is clearly no damage to the exterior of the box. Bottom line is I can no longer recommend these toolboxes when the company won’t even stand behind the product and their “5 years manufacturing defect warranty”. I let them know that I will be changing my reviews and feedback in every single webpage, groups, forums, letting customers know and every other place that I’ve recommended these boxes. Great toolbox, lots of storage, perfect for organizing tools

I upsized from the 30X15 box and I was able to store a few more tools in this 36X17 box, but I was surprised how much I was actually holding in my original montezuma. Still happy I jumped up because the wrenches are easier to identify in this box, easier to get to my metrics instead of having them behind my SAE, and on the smaller box the wrenches would bind around the gas strut and were hard to pull out. I was also able to move all of my swivel and 12pt sockets into the box. Very happy I upgraded, but at the same time, the smaller montezuma seems a little more functional with its compartments vs this one’s flat storage.
