Q: I need to remove the filter insert in the mid west diesel fuel can, as I’m going to be using a siphon hose. How is this done?

- A: I used a large pair of needle nose pliers, forced one side between the filter and can neck, then got violent and yanked it out. I can’t figure out the logic of catching any debris and then pouring it back out into whatever you are fueling. This is a good can once you remove the filter, add a vent cap, and get an old fashioned pour spout.5 years agoHelpful?

- A: First, please make sure your spout is installed and screwed onto your container properly to prevent leaking. While the container is on the ground click in the red safety lock located on your spout. This will un-lock your spout for use. Pick up your container and place the tip of the spout inside your fuel tank. Using the black notch on the spout, rest notch on tank lip, push downward to retract spout. This will start the flow.
