The Mibro 7/16 in. -14 and 1/2 in. -13 NC Plug Taps are designed for cutting new or restoring existing internal threads in compatible holes. Made from quality tool steel, these heavy-duty plug taps provide durability for threading and repair applications. A titanium nitride coating helps reduce friction for smoother operation and extended tool life. The first 3 to 5 threads are tapered to help the tap start straight and accurately. National Coarse (NC) threads are a general-purpose thread pattern commonly used in machinery, equipment, and everyday fastening applications. This plug tap is ideal for maintenance, repair, fabrication, and general threading projects.

Q: Is this a single plug tap or a pair of taps, one 7/16-14 and the other 1/2-13 ? If single, which is it 7/16-14 or 1/2-13? Also, the taper looks like a plug tap for blind holes, but so do Asian taps intended for thread cleanup; pls confirm intended use.
