Eradicate worms from your livestock with help from this Merck Safe-Guard Dewormer Paste. Safe-Guard contains the drug fenbendazole, which inhibits a parasite's ability to thrive. It's effective against several species of parasites, including lungworms, stomach worms and intestinal worms. This dewormer comes in a convenient paste form that features an apple-cinnamon flavor to encourage consumption.How it Works
It is suggested that fenbendazole's mechanism works by stopping the parasite's ability to metabolize, therefore inhibiting its ability to maintain its energy production.
Special Precautions
Do not administer to horses cultivated for eating.

Tips
Regular deworming at intervals of six to eight weeks may be required due to the possibility of reinfection. Certain species of small strongyles have become resistant to most anthelmintics belonging to the benzimidazole family of compounds, including fenbendazole. In suspected cases of larval cyathostomosis, the prognosis is usually guarded since the underlying pathology can be severe without the animals showing marked clinical signs. Consult your veterinarian regarding the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism in horses.

Not sure it worked on my chickens

Been having a horrible time with recurring sour crop in a few of my hens. Read it could be due to worm overload. Never have wormed our chickens. Used this for 5 days and never did notice worms in poo and still having sour crop issues. Unfortunately I can't really leave a positive or negative review because I don't know if it actually worked?!
