Farnam PyrantelCare Daily Horse Dewormer 2.11% (Pyrantel Tartrate) is a concentrated equine anthelminitic that provides continuous protection against over 31 of the most common species and stages of equine parasites, including large and small strongyles, ascarids and pinworms. Medicated horse wormer pellets allow continuous feeding and the prevention of Stongylus vulgaris larval infestation in horses. Top dress the palatable medicated pellets on your horse's grain each day to provide continuous protection. These pellets are great for those horses who don't like paste or liquid dewormers. See product label for horse worm medicine directions for use.
For additional information on this product, please see the Product Documents section for all downloadable user manuals, installation guides, brochures and warranty statements.

- Dosage Directions:PyrantelCare Daily Dewormer 2.11% (pyrantel tartrate) is to be administered on a continuous basis either as a top-dress or mixed in the horse's daily ration at the rate of 1.2 mg pyrantel tartrate per pound of body weight daily. To achieve this dose, administer 0.5 ounces (1/2 scoop) of PyrantelCare dewormer 2.11% per 250 lb of body weight. (For example, a 1,000 lb. horse requires 2 oz or two scoops. See Top-Dress Directions.) Please note that the measuring cup is a different size and shape from the PyrantelCare Daily Dewormer 1.06% measuring cup due to the higher concentration of PyrantelCare Daily Dewormer 2.11%. PyrantelCare dewormer 2.11% should be administered for the entire period that the animal is at risk to internal parasites. Unprotected animals that have grazed may already have an established S. vulgaris larval infection. Before administering PyrantelCare dewormer 2.11%, these animals should be treated with a therapeutic dose of a larvicidal product. Foals may be administered PyrantelCare dewormer 2.11% as soon as consistent intake of grain mix is occurring. This is generally between two and three months of age. PyrantelCare dewormer 2.11% may be used in mares at any stage of pregnancy or lactation. Stallion fertility is not affected by the use of PyrantelCare dewormer 2.11%.

Q: we have 6 horses approx. 1200 lbs. each; how long should a #10 tub last
a year ago- A: In regards to the coverage of the 10lb bucket: There are 16 dry ounces to every pound of dry product. A 10lb package contains 160 dry ounces. The recommended dosing for a 1250 lb horse is 2.5 oz per daily ration/feeding as a top dress. This means you would use 15 oz per day for all 6 horses total (2.5 x 6) Based on this, 160 oz divided by 15 oz, would be 10.6, so a 10lb bucket should last 10 days for 6 horses.a year agoHelpful?
