Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install - Works Great This float is super easy to install and is working great so far. Instead of having to fill the stock tank every day I simply need to look at it and ensure the float is working properly. So far no issue. Has made life much easier.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the effort This has a rubber gasket to shut off the water and not an actual valve. Its rated for low pressure for this reason but to me its not worth the money and can't be trusted. I don't want to waste water and my place is to big to check it every day. I will spend the money and get one that's an actual cutoff valve.

Does a stock tank have to be level for this float valve to work properly?

Asked by: MorMor
The stock tank should be level for the TM825 to work properly. Water pressure, water quality and the amount of times the waterer is cycling will play into how often the rubber seat will need to be rotated. - The higher the water pressure, the faster it will start to break down the rubber material. It is concentrated in the one location. Very similar to how a power washer works. If the pressure is over 50 psi, it may not seal at all or be very inconsistent. - If the water has high mineral content, it can start to buildup on the orifice and not allow it to seal as needed around the rubber seat. It should be cleaned on a regular basis with soap, water and a soft cloth. Harsh chemicals or abrasive brush type cleaners will breakdown the plastic. - Cycling of the float up and down onto the orifice will eventually start to leave an indention in the rubber material. Over time this will start to get too deep and not seal properly. The rubber seat will need to be rotated more often if they have a lot of animals drinking down the water level.

Gravity fed will work, the only thing will be that the refill time will take longer.

Will these fit on a Hastings poly tank? It has an extended lip on the top.

Asked by: Gregfreeman1108
No this product will not work on the extended lip. Per the manufacturer TM825T should work fine as the mounting brackets are are adjustable to fit anything from 2” thick to and 4.325” wide.

Can this be used in a small oblong galvanized tub for dog water?

Asked by: Henpen
Yes, this will work fine for that purpose. As long as the tub has somewhat of a straight edge it should mount easily.
