The Lifetime 8 ft. 5 in. Volt 85 Sit-On-Top Kayak is a sit-on-top kayak designed for extreme safety and stability. The kayak is constructed of blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) making it durable, UV-protected, and impact resistant. The lightweight 40 lb. design, front T-handle, and convenient center carry handle make it easy to transport to and from the waterfront. With shock cord straps and multiple footrest positions, this kayak has plenty of extras to enhance your paddling experience. Proudly made in the USA.

I bought this for my sister, and we went paddling yesterday and she LOVES it! It is light enough for me (age 68) to put in on top of the CRV by myself (two is easier though), but it is strong enough to be safe and sturdy in the lake water. It is what I call a "run-about" type of kayak - perfect for feeling like you are paddling a sports car!
