Almost drowned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Lake Sport. After being on the water for about an hour, the bow begin to crease and take on water. Luckily, I wasn't too far from the launching point and a park ranger happened to be behind me as it begin to sink. Another failure in the boat is the many straps. My foot got tangled in one of the straps connecting the foot rest, making my efforts to swim away, futile.

Sort of awesome

I had a great experience once I got my rhythm back and recognized just keep going - it was like paddling a cereal box - then it was ok w the flat bottom. Loved it the return trip. I kayaked 5 miles, More work to move but worth it.

Fun with minor issues.

I have taken them out twice. The first time I opened one and tried to connect the foot strap, the hook on the end popped off. I tried contacting ORU and haven’t heard back about a replacement. The second time I took then out, I got done, folded up my kayak. When I reopened it at home to make sure it was fully dry before storing, I noticed a screw from the back rest had fallen off. Overall they have worked great, even when paddling against some minimal waves and wind. They are easy to set up and get on and off the water. I really have enjoyed then so far.
