Q: Does the protected storage area have a insert in it once the cover is open? Or does your stuff just roll all around?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, the hatch on the Lifetime Spitfire 10 opens directly into the hollow hull without a built-in liner, so items can slide out of reach. To keep your gear from rolling around, most paddlers use a dry bag or a drop-in bucket insert to secure their belongings. This setup ensures your essentials stay right where you need them instead of moving throughout the kayak.

They sold me a used kayak and said it was new. It was all scratched up and leaked. No problems returning it but I still wasted gas on it.

    Kayak

I bought the kayak, brought it home to register it and the paperwork was wet, moldy, and disgusting. I think the kayak is missing drain plugs? So I will need to buy those separate. I hope it's a good investment because I can't return it. I'm looking forward to using it and hope it brings me a lot of summer joy despite the icky paperwork and potentially missing parts. ALSO. Registering the product with lifetimes website was hot dog water. It was so infuriating trying to get the image of my receipt to upload and for the model number to be correct.

Reach out to our customer service experts so they can replace your paperwork. They can be contacted through Live Chat on our website (lifetime.com) Monday-Friday, or over the phone Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at (800) 225-3865. They can also be reached by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT). Also, the kayak most likely isn't missing drain plugs. The holes in the kayak are called scupper holes and they help drain water from off of the top of the kayak. You can purchase scupper plugs if you'd like to prevent water from coming through them. If you have any further questions or if you still need help registering your product, please reach out to us at reviews@lifetime.com and we would be happy to help.
