- A: Pavers have a tendency to shift and settle unevenly so we do not recommend using them as your foundation as this could cause problems later. It is important that your foundation is flat and level. There are two types we recommend: *Concrete *Wood Frame. Select the type, but know the surface must be level and flat before installation. If the surface is not properly leveled and flat, the shed will not assemble correctly. Proper surface leveling will save you time in the long run, so please don’t ignore this step. A Concrete platform will be the most durable and long-lasting choice. The platform you choose must be built above ground in order to avoid water pooling inside the shed. All lumber must be rated for outdoor use. Detailed instructions on how to construct a proper platform can be found in the product manual which can be downloaded at www.lifetime.com.a year agoHelpful?

Used to be excellent but now is terrible due to poor quality

I bought this same shed in a different color and slightly different layout 12 years ago. It has stoood the test of time and worked fabulously. I bought this shed hoping for the same in a second shed. This time the quality was terrible and it was the worst shed i have purchased. Parts have holes in the wrong place and are slightly off. the roof required significant effort to fix and some panels did not align correctly. it has mm tolerance but the dies used to make it are obviously old now and bits of plastic cover holes indicating worn dies.the same shed which fit perfectly together last time now produced warped parts without cleanly cut holes. The screws are also deformed and dont bite the plastic easily produced poor structural fit. water now leaks with poor weather resistance and leaks. drainage channels are misaligned and overall the quality is no longer lifetime more like slapped together.

Sagging roof, poor fitting doors

We had a professional contractor pour a level, concrete slab and assemble this shed. Poor fitting doors have been a problem all along - in some weather they align and close properly but often they do not. The roof is a huge disappointment as each section is sagging significantly and the skylight pieces are curling up on the corners (similar to old asphalt shingles). This is a quality problem, not due to hot weather as we live in a fairly cool climate.

Disappointed: Dozens of Missing Structural Parts and Hardware

I bought this shed trusting the Costco name and reputation, but the quality control on the packaging was completely unacceptable. Halfway through assembly, we had to stop entirely because of a massive amount of missing parts and hardware.
Here is the exact list of what was completely omitted from our boxes:
* **Major Structural Pieces:** The package was missing **10 roof support bars**. You cannot safely build or support the roof without these.
* **Roof Frames:** Across the 4 roof frames, we were missing a total of **10 screws**.
* **Wall & Roof Junctions:** Missing **5 screws** needed to secure the roof to the walls.
* **Skylights:** Missing **5 screws and washers**.
* **Door Header Assembly:** Missing **4 screws** for the horizontal bar on top of the door, and another **2 screws** for the ventilation screen right above the door.
* **Window Assembly:** The window was missing **2 brackets and screws**.
It is incredibly frustrating to pay this much money and clear out a weekend for assembly, only to be shorted dozens of essential screws, brackets, and massive structural bars. If you buy this, open every single bag and count every single screw before you begin, because the factory quality control is severely lacking.
