Q: Hello! Can Auto Swing be disabled if only one stationary direction of blowing is desired?

  • A: Hi Richard, we understand you want to keep the airflow on your LW5024 window air conditioner in one fixed direction, and it’s great that you’re exploring the controls to get the airflow just the way you like it. Yes — you can disable Auto Swing and set a stationary airflow direction. This model uses manual louvers, so once Auto Swing is off, the vent will stay exactly where you position it. A helpful step is: • Adjust the horizontal airflow by moving the vertical‑louver levers left or right until the air blows in your preferred direction For more guidance, here’s the manual link for your model: • https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-LW5024.AT1AUSH If you need further assistance, feel free to email lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. ‑LG Digital Care Team ^Rich

Q: What is the dimension from the window attachment rail to the back of the unit (depth), not the overall depth? Or if you don't have that dimension, then what is the dimension of the portion that extends inside the room?

  • A: Hello! 😊 For the LG Window A/C LW5024, the exact dimension from the window attachment rail to the back of the unit (depth, excluding the overall depth) or the portion that extends inside the room is not specifically listed in the general specs. This is because every home window is different, and the dimensions vary from installation to installation. For more questions, private message us on social media @LGUSSupport. Q: how is the condensation in dry mode get rremoved

Originally posted on lg.com

1 Answer
  • A: Hey there, great question! Dry mode on your LG Air Conditioner removes humidity from the room without using additional cooling. Once the set temperature is reached, the compressor and circulation fan turn off, and only the exhaust fan will run. However, the pre-set fan speed cannot be changed. Q: Which side (left or right) is the power cord attached to? The photos don’t show any cord! If it’s on the right side, it may not reach my outlet. I tried using the Support chat and the answer was: at the back! Which is outside the house so that’s not true!

You can't see it in the images for this LG 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW5024, but the power cord for the air conditioner and all other LG air conditioners is always on the same side as the control panel. For this model, it will be at the bottom right corner on the side of the cabinet. The power cord is 78"...^Ivan.
