The wire harness features secure and reliable electrical connections, which are vital for the seamless operation of the air conditioning system. Q: Can this model fit into the metal frame for the discontinued LG2516ER? We need to replace an old LG2516ER and would be great to slide this model into the already installed metal frame from the old A/C

  • A: Hi there. We love that you're staying loyal to LG and thinking creatively about your setup! 💪 While the LG window A/C LW2521ERSM and the discontinued LG2516ER are part of the same product family, they may have slight differences in cabinet design and mounting points. It's possible the new unit could fit into the old metal cabinet, but we recommend installing the cabinet that comes with it. For more questions, private message us on social media @LGUSSupport. Thanks for choosing LG to keep your space cool and comfortable! 😊 ^David

Q: Is there any way to get a longer power cord for this unit?

Originally posted on lg.com

1 Answer
  • A: Hey there. The LG window A/C unit LW2521ERSM has a fixed 52-inch power cord, and no official longer power cord version is available. LG doesn’t recommend using extension cords or modifying the existing cord for safety and performance reasons. If the cord doesn’t reach your outlet, the best option is to install a dedicated outlet closer to the unit. This ensures proper power delivery and helps maintain the safety and reliability of your A/C. For more questions, private message us on social media @LGUSSupport. We're always happy to help! 🙂 ^David

This has been a disaster

This is my SECOND air conditioner from LG. neither work. They have been almost a month now looking for someone to service this second BRAND NEW air conditioner. I’m very disappointed in LG. No efficiency no noise no air flow no cooling and no temperature. No ANYTHING. The only reason I gave 1 star, it wouldn’t allow submission without it.

LG
Hello. Thank you for sharing your review regarding your LG LW2521ERSM Air conditioner. We always aim to provide powerful, efficient, and dependable climate control systems for your home comfort, and we want to help ensure your unit delivers the crisp airflow and precise temperature management you expect. When an air conditioning system experiences a drop in cooling performance or airflow, reviewing the filtration and external ventilation path can often restore full functionality. We recommend turning off the unit and sliding out the primary mesh filter to ensure it is completely free of dust accumulation, as blocked intake areas heavily restrict air circulation and overall cooling capacity. Additionally, checking that the exterior condenser coils on the rear of the unit are clear of outdoor debris ensures proper heat dissipation, allowing the system to run smoothly and efficiently. For detailed guidance on optimizing your cooling setup and maintaining your Air conditioner's performance, please visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/troubleshooting-an-lg-air-conditioner-that-is-not-cooling--20152825310030. So far, so good.

While it required an electrician to come in and install the special outlet, so far it’s producing a really exceptional amount of cooling to our commercial kitchen.
