Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent fence paint, looks good after 6 ye I highly recommend this paint. First, its latex so it washes off your hands with soap and water. Second its has a nice gloss shine, so the black looks really black. Third it holds up for wood, old wood, doesn't matter. I am repainting my fence now because sections I used asphalt fence paint and they need it badly. But the fence I painted 6 years ago with this paint, you almost can't tell it apart from the newly painted sections. Great paint

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1.5 years on and looking good! Bought about 1.5 years ago to paint old seasoned natural wood fence. Followed directions. Used brushes and rollers. Goes on easily. No cracking or problems to date. Followed directions. I did 2 coats for extra rich black look. Has somewhat of a satin finish, which I like and is practical. Since it is self priming, 2 coats was fine with me. I am buying more to do some new fencing, so I obviously highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely 100% great product I bought this for my recently installed sense in my front yard and was extremely pleased with how easy it went on with a sprayer and the overall look when completed-my neighbors are still complementing

what is finish of this black paint?  I need flat black.   Thanks, Houston

Asked by: Houston
This paint has a semi gloss finish, it depends greatly on the fence condition and roughness.

What is the difference between this paint and the grey bucket of Lexington fence paint??? I need a good fence paint that I can spray that will penetrate the wood and last for a while. How long will this paint look good and last on the fence???

Asked by: Farmboy69
The grey "Fence Coat" bucket is an acrylic lacquer while the black "Fence Pro" is 100% acrylic latex paint. Both can be applied using a spray method. Both are very durable and work great on all types of wooden fencing. They will last quite sometime however, different climates may produce different results.

So while I wasn’t looking, my son painted a large X on the trunk of our old maple tree with this paint. Will the tree be okay?

Asked by: UNY_Paul
Yes the tree will be fine.

Can this paint be used on oil pipe fencing?  If so, what prep is needed before painting? Thank you

Asked by: KrisE
Yes, it will work as long as there is minimal amounts of rust. Preparation would only require a wire brush to remove debris.

Can this be used on a privacy fence ?

Asked by: Kim69
Though our intended target is to use on plank fences, it should work fine on a privacy fence as long as there is nothing else on the fence that would keep it from adhering to the wood. Make sure the wood is clean and properly prepared.

I used the Lexington Fence Coat laquer paint last year can I use the latex Fence Pro over it?

Asked by: Ethel54
You shouldn't experience any issues using the paint in this order.

I want to spray a horse fence with 5.5 inch boards. I want to use a graco 313 nozzle (6-8" fan, .013) or 311 nozzle (.011) these are outside of your recommendation. What will happen? Also my Graco DX sprayer won't support more than a .015 nozzle.

Asked by: PRST
The manufacturer has advised that you can try the .015 size tip but the main concern with a tip that small is clogs. Having such a small tip can lead to a lot of clog ups.
