Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fence painting Good material for annual fence painting. To bad local store no longer carries

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great but very difficult to apply Decided to us something besides the Lexington black acrylic lacquer and was a mistake. Got to the job and this stuff is like mud. So thick my sprayer would not work for more than a second. Even tried to dilute it with paint thinner and still my sprayer would not stop clogging up. It has a really good finish look to it so I just wish it was easier to apply but I will not be using this on a large fence ever again. It would take days if not weeks to finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fence Now Looks Classic Goes on best with a 6" sponge roller. Use it it one or two days. Though it is water cleanup, be prepared to throw away rollers and brushes. Wear gloves and old pants! If it gets on hands use WD 40 to remove or vegetable oil. Excellent coverage

Will this come off on your hands etc. in 100 degree plus heat? And how long does this take to fully cure on dried lumber?

Asked by: RhoniT
You should wear gloves during application to prevent product from getting on your skin. Product will dry in a couple of hours in proper conditions. A citrus cleaner will remove the dried material. Thanks and good luck with your project.

I have several deep cracks on some fence posts, is there a product I could use to fill before using this paint?  I’m worried about preserving the posts... not aesthetics.

Asked by: R P K
Thanks for your inquiry. We're sorry that we can't help you on this one as we don't have a product for wood repair. Check in with your Tractor Supply store for options.

Does this need to be stirred up before each use, what is the life of it after it is opened ,will it harden up on you? Thanks

Asked by: bo44
Great questions! We recommend stirring before application. Once opened, the curing process will begin so it is best to try to complete your application within a week or so. If you do need to seal it up for a few days before project completion, try placing kitchen plastic wrap inside the bucket over the unused product before tightly resealing the top to reduce air exposure. Due to the limited information we have on your project, please read the product label for further product information, proper prep and application instructions. We take great pride in helping you achieve a successful project so please feel free to reach out through the Contact Us page on our website at GardnerCoatings.com should you have additional questions.

I’m installing a new fence and want to pre paint beforehand how long do I need to let lumber I buy from a big box store

Asked by: Johndog
You should install the fence and let it weather for a minimum of 30 days before coating. Test a small section first before applying to make sure the oils in the wood have dried out and the coating will stick. Due to the limited information we have on your project, please read the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for further product information, and proper prep and application information. You'll find the TDS on the individual product page of www.gardner-gibson.com .

This product is designed for aged wood that is dry. I'm not sure if it will stick to new, freshly cut wood or not?
