- A: Hi Neighbor! Yes, you can use latex paint over oil-based paint, but you cannot apply it directly. Because latex and oil do not naturally adhere to one another, applying latex directly to oil paint will cause the new paint to peel and flake off in sheets.4 days agoHelpful?

- A: Coverage will vary depending on the surface being painted. On clean metal, coverage should be close to 300 sf/gal. Rusty metal coverage will be less. Rough sawn lumber coverage will be closer to 150 sf/gal. Hope this helps!11 months agoHelpful?

- A: This can be used on a metal trailer, under two conditions. 1: Any rust must be properly primed.2: If the surface is "Chalking", the old paint must be pressure washed. To check for chalking rub your hand on the old paint. If there is a dusty residue on your hand that matches the color of the paint, it is chalking and must be cleaned.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Metal roof will it work?

- A: This product will work on a metal roof under two conditions. First, any rust on the roof must be properly primed. The water-based latex formulation of this product will not stop rust. Secondly, if the surface of the roof is "chalking", the roof must be pressure washed before applying paint. The best way to check for chalk on a surface is to rub your hand on the existing paint. If your hand has a chalky residue that is the same color as the paint, the paint is said to be "chalking". Good luck!a year agoHelpful?

We will need several buckets of this darker red as we are painting our house with it, but purchased one first to see how we would like, and really like the color. It is not a bright red, more deep but just how we wanted it. A little went a long ways. We will be doing 2 coats, but went on well and nice and smooth.
