Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frozen water I had high hopes for this keeping our chicken’s water from freezing. I’d lift the tray up each morning to crack the ice and let water flow out of the reservoir. It seems to be working, but at 20 degrees the reservoir froze and we had some sad chickens. I’ll be calling to return this...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from all three are disfunctional? bought three, first time we used them and the temps got down to about 18, I go out and have tree solid ice bases. give me a break. i need the available water to be thawed, not the water in the jug they cant get too. I am very, very, very, disappointed. I cracked ice in water jugs every day last winter and was hoping that I wouldn't have to do that again this year, well, wrong. And today makes 30 days since purchase, and I have to rush to m y local Tractor Supply, to be sure to a get proper refund. So we either got 3 disfunctional waterers, or this model needs major improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I purchased this product a week ago. The grate that goes around the water tray is a great idea, it is easy to remove and clean, keeping the water much cleaner. I is only 2.5 gallons, but I don't have to dump water out to clean the tray.

Would this work for feral cats? Not familiar with watering chickens and if the water would be accessible by a cat.

Asked by: cat crazy
Thank you for your question. Although this has not been tested I am sure it would work for feral cats as well.
