There should be a black digitally printed number on the can; the first 2 digits of the number represent the year in which the can was produced, while the last 3 represent the day of that year. In regards to the shelf life; Husqvarna fuel will remain fresh for up to 5 years unopened in the can and up to 2 years once opened or poured into the machine.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Does the fuel have lead in it or is it unleaded as my chainsaw has a green cap indicating only unleaded gasoline to protect the catalytic converter?
