Horse Health Icetight Poultice is a topical poultice for use on horse's knees, tendons and ankles. Cold therapy (or cryotherapy) poultice for horses is one of the most effective techniques in helping to relieve stiffness and soreness of hardworking horses. It is generally among the best poultices for horses' legs for fresh trauma and preventive therapy (due to regular wear-and-tear) after a strenuous workout. A cold therapy poultice wrap for horse legs restricts blood flow to the area, helping to reduce swelling and tighten the soft tissues. For this reason, cold poultices are commonly used by performance horse owners as a part of their daily routines.

- 1 bucket contains 7-1/2 lb. of Icetight poultice
- Directions: Clean all medication, chemicals and foreign matter from the area to be treated; apply a layer of Icetight 24-Hour Poultice up to 1/4 inch thick over the area to be treated; wrap the preparation with plastic or moist brown paper; cover with cotton bandage

Caused more issues

I got this for my aging girl who has been limping to help give her more comfort than just wrapping. I’ve used poultice before and never had issues!
I did as the instructions said. I took it off the next day and washed it off. Later the same day I gave her a bath, getting all the winter hair and mess off of her.
By the next morning (less than 48 hours since I first applied it) her leg was a balloon and oozing with chemical burn looking cuts everywhere.
It’s possible this was just bad luck, but I threw it away!
I threw this stuff away.
