Tenda Horse Products Premium Medicated Poultice is a scientifically formulated blend of kaolinitic clays, fresh menthol, and the essential oil of wintergreen to assist every equine athlete in achieving their maximum potential. Apply this poultice for horses to areas of soreness, stiffness, and swelling in the lower limbs before and after exercise, training, or competition. The smooth and soothing poultice is mild, effortless to apply, extremely easy to wash off, and will not burn or blister for convenience.

  • This versatile poultice horse foot treatment can be applied to the knees, fetlocks, shins, and tendons
  • Directions for everyday use: Thoroughly cleanse affected area and then liberally apply about 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. thick of the poultice to the affected area. Cover with a layer of paper, then cover the paper with a quilted wrap. Lastly, cover the quilted wrap with a stall bandage. After 24 hours, remove coverings and rinse off the poultice with cold water. Repeat as necessary.
  • Directions for cold poultice treatment: Store the poultice in the refrigerator for 24 hours. After training, a competition, or pleasure riding, thoroughly cleanse the affected area and liberally apply about 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. thick of the refrigerated poultice. Cover with a layer of paper, then cover the paper with a quilted wrap. Lastly, cover the quilted wrap with a stall bandage. After 24 hours, remove coverings and rinse off poultice with cold water. Repeat as necessary.
  • Directions for hoof packing: Thoroughly clean under the bottom of the hoof and then apply the poultice and cover it with heavy duty paper. Then secure the paper in place with a wrap or hoof boot.

This product was so good at reducing inflammation from a puncture wound that was swelled up. It smells good and it’s easy to put on. I feel like it’s a great value.

Love this stuff!

My horse unexpectedly came up lame and her hock was super warm! This poultice was easy to use and she was soon licking her lips and had dropped her head in relief as soon as I started to put the poultice on her leg! Also it smells really good!!
