- If you live in an apartment or condo, or need a safe where a traditional gun safe won't fit, the Hornady 95072 VEXIS Mobilis Double Door MAX Modular Gun Safe is the perfect solution. It's the largest safe in the Mobilis line, and it ships in modular sections so you can carry it up or down stairs, through doorways, and around corners that would stop a one-piece safe, then assemble it in place right where you need it. Once assembled, this wide, tall double-door safe delivers vault-grade security paired with Hornady's next-generation VEXIS palm vein recognition lock for touch-free, under-half-a-second access.
- Just because the Mobilis MAX is modular doesn't mean it's less secure than a traditional gun safe. It features thick 9-gauge 2-ply steel exterior walls with a pry-resistant 3/16" solid steel door and a non-breach seal. Fifteen 1" steel live locking bolts prevent pry attacks (two on the top and bottom of the left door, two on the top and bottom of the right door, plus seven on the right door's active edge). Hornady's game-changing VEXIS palm vein recognition lock controls access: using near-infrared imaging and deep learning algorithms, it reads millions of unique vein data points beneath your skin, making your palm the ultimate key. It's lightning fast, touch-free, and nearly impossible to spoof. If you ever need it, you have backup access via a digital keypad and a physical key override, so you'll never be locked out. Holes are pre-drilled for floor mounting when you're ready to make the installation permanent.

The MAX gives you plenty of room at the top for a full-length rifle stored vertically or other tall items. Square-Lok panels also line both interior doors, giving you even more mounting surface for accessories. Solid product/ outstanding manager at 31061 store
a year ago
Two able people can do 95% of the assembly but I recommend 3 for a couple steps. Don’t let the modularity fool you, this is a well built safe with excellent space. Thanks to the manager (Mark) of your Milledgeville, GA store for helping me navigate a couple incentives to get the best deal.
