For looks only, apparently

Super disappointed in this- bought for my toddler today but as soon as we went out to use it and dig up a smal weed, it broke! The poor seam on the back of the shovel head broke apart so it’s still on but loose and wiggly. I may try to return to the store because I expected much better from a TSC purchase for $10 than something that would break so fast.

No, I do not recommend this product.
