The "heart-and-soul" of custom and production cabinet shops around the country. The Grizzly G1531 6" x 80" Benchtop Edge Sander offers nearly 30" of platen-backed sanding surface. Perfect for finishing and sanding door edges and long stock.

The graphite-coated sanding platen delivers lower sanding temperatures resulting in longer belt life.

Curved panels can be sanded quickly and easily using the height-adjustable contoured support table.

The G1531 also features convenient adjustment knobs, quick belt release, shielded ball bearings, graphite-coated platen, and built-in dust hood.

Like all of the Grizzly edge sanders, the G1531 comes with a 1-year warranty covering parts and assuring the unit is free from factory defects. (Consumables are not covered by the warranty.)

The G1531 manual was written by our U.S. based Documentation Department is packed with useful information.

The Grizzly Technical Support team is U.S. based. Parts for the edge sander may be available online and shipped from the Grizzly parts warehouse in Springfield, MO.

    Typical Great Grizzly Quality!

    Purchased Jan 2019. Replaced a 4" disc and belt combo unit. Excellent product! Typical Grizzly high quality manufacturing! Great for sanding edges and ends. Powerful motor that drives the belt. Operator must be careful of moving belt. It will take off finger skin very fast. I added a dust port above the belt to help with dust collection. Added port allows all day indoor usage without contaminating the shop air. Added port works much better than just the standard port. Belt changes are very quick and easy. Alignment of different belt is easy. Table size is good for my usage. Table height adjustment could be easier, but it only takes a couple of minutes. I couldn't justify doubling the cost to get an oscillating version. Works well paired with the Grizzly G0702 Disc Sander. Allowed me to sell the 4" disc and belt combo.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Solid tool, easy assembly. The stock sanding belt and dust hose are junk but those are starter kit, not why you buy the tool. Only problem is that the 4" OD dust port was powdercoated green so that it's bigger than 4" now. Nothing fits. You gotta undersize for that kind of finish, Grizzly. The working bits are proper though, good buy.

    Hooked up 220 volt outlets and I'm now using the sander. I've always said that a shop should not be without one . Makes life easier!
