This handy GPI Hand-Operated Container Fuel Pump Plunger installs in minutes. Just insert into a 5 gal. pail and start pumping. This versatile fluid transfer pump plunger allows use with hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid or motor oil. Installation is easy - just insert the manual fuel transfer pump plunger into a pail and tighten clamp with pliers. The accessory comes packaged in a poly bag with hand fuel transfer pump and clamp.

- A: As long as you are not in extreme cold temperatures you should have no issues. Please note this is a very basic solution for pulling fuel and oils out of a tank or barrel, so I do not recommend making adjustments such as a longer hose etc. to transfer the fluid.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Does this only pump out of the bucket or can it reverse and pump fluids into the bucket also?

- A: I'm assuming you are referring to the CP-5? It only pulls fluid from one direction with the suction pipe end and the fluid is dispensed out the other end of the hose. It worked the one time I used it. The plastic clamp slipped a lot. (I'll probably replace it with a steel clamp.) The hose is not long enough to reach the fill hole even on a little tractor without lifting the whole bucket (at which point I might as well just use a funnel).

I was a little skeptical when I purchased this pump. It is a light plastic device with a fairly steep price tag. However, I'm nearly 70 years old I didn't want to pour off 5 gallon buckets through a 1 inch hole set between the gear shift and the seat of my tractor. It is an older tractor and uses fairly thick tractor transmission fluid (API GL-4 or SAE 80W grade lubricant) and it was near 30 degrees when I did it. It worked great and pumped fast.
