Fimco 12V Wireless Remote On/Off Switch

I am in the process of borrowing my neighbors brand new, only used once before me, very expensive 200 gallon trailered 23’ boom sprayer. We have 120 acres of mostly pasture needed sprayed with 2,4-D weed control. For the last few years we’ve used our FIMCO 65 gallon, 8’ boom sprayer from the back of our Polaris UTV with much success. We love that sprayer and FIMCO. We try to spray for weeds at least twice per year. But our Polaris tranny went out back in June. My neighbor has been kind enough to offer his brand spanking new 200 gallon, Master Mfg. tow behind sprayer. He paid A LOT of $$ for it. Almost as much as I paid for my orange 54” BAD BOY zero turn mower. IT IS REALLY NICE! But ! It needs a remote on/off switch which isn’t even offered. At least that I can tell. So FIMCO is the first company I thought of. Yep, FIMCO makes one. I purchased it from my Greenwood, AR. TSC. *Warning* Tractor Supply like other similar stores is “Man Crack” and I should never be allowed to shop there unsupervised. Much to my disappointment it started glitching after a couple of hours. The next day it wouldn’t work at all. I am not a novice hobby farmer. I have electrical knowledge, mechanical and trouble shooting skills. The remote switch was well within FIMCO’s amplitude specifications. It completely crapped out. Last night, 10/25/2025, thinking this was a one off bad remote, I swapped it out, hassle free, at TSC. I went there to do the exchange and pick up a new welder ground clamp. Nearly $700 later, I returned home. Remember the “Man Crack” reference? Yes I was unsupervised. I have not used the new remote yet as it will arrive today at the Greenwood, AR. TSC. I will attempt to follow this review up later.

I need a receipt with every order. When I picked up the order I noticed I didn't receive one but figured it had been emailed. Nope. Why??????

Only bad thing I have to say is I wish the on off button was a little bigger

The old version of this had a small antenna wire. The new model really needs the antenna. I use the old version on a different machine it works perfectly. The new version mounted in the exact location I have to get close to the unit to start it. A few more strides I can just manually do it.

It is a great buy if you have a crew side by side.

Works great once it has linked up between device switch and remote, it worked great for my rock light application installed on my truck.

I have one of these units on my spread feeder that works great. I wanted to add one to my other feeder but I have gone through 3 units now that do not work at all. Even Fimco cant figure out the problem.

Great little device. I use it to control on/off lighting on my truck. Too hard to tap into anything on new cars/trucks.

The remote works great! The on and off buttons are too close for big thumbs. Otherewise, highly recommend!

The “A” “B” “C” labels mean NOTHING. Cannot get 2 or more on the same frequency.

Highly recommend if you just bought a electric sprayer. Allows you to simply connect to wiring harness and you can turn the sprayer off and on with remote. Don't have to climb off mower to stop spraying or start again

Great idea! I used to deal with a toggle switch and now I can just click a button. I have not fully used this but testing it out it seems to work great and you can use on any 12v system

I kept having my 5th Wheel RV broken into while in storage so I electrified it with a very powerful electric fence charger that runs off the onboard 12 volt system and use this device to turn it on and off. Just like that my “Tweaker” problem was solved, haven’t had a single break in since I heated it up, I just wish I had video of those low life’s when they grabbed hold of my rig.

This is a great thing to use for just about anything 12 volt. Very handy to have around and saves time with wiring.

I purchased this remote to turn on a light bar about 20ft away. The light uses 16A, the remote says its good to 20A. It worked three times flawlessly, then it didn't work at all one day. A few days later it did OK. Now nothing happens. Actuated/used it for less than 20 cycles. I have a few other brands remotes. Quite satisfied, the FIMCO? Not at all.

I feel bad for those who have had bad luck with this remote system, but I have had mine for 3 or 4 years and it has worked perfectly the whole time. A while back I got my sprayer out and the remote quit working. Put in a new battery and back to spraying. Best $ investment sprayer wise ever!

Have this switch hooked up to lights on car. Working beyond expectations. Make sure you look at wiring diagram on back of unit or it will not work. Sometimes I have to move the remote at different angles. This is a great device.

Purchased two within a month and neither functioned at all. Bench test lets you hear the relay "click" but no power out. Called Fimco and they were no help. Bought a cheaper Gensii remote and it works fine.

Bought item last time at Tractor Supply, worked great day of, turned on and off without issue. About one week later though, unit would only turn on with the remote and not turn off and only did this three times. After the third time, would not turn on or off with remote, even though lights on the remote and relay would light up. Tried to use this so I wouldn't need 20' of breakaway cable with rocker switch, but i guess technology doesn't solve everything. Cheaply made and not waterproof (it is used with a sprayer?!).

I have bought 2 of these and both have quit working shortly after using them. I gave the wireless remote a second chance thinking maybe I may have done something that caused the first one to quit working but the second one I got did the same thing. The range for the remote is very poor, it doesn't work after it is away from the receiver only a few feet. My opinion about this product is it's a very poor product. I used this product on my sprayer for my yard, it's attached to my Kubota lawn tractor.

Bought a month ago to use instead of on/off switch which was poorly located when using Countyline sprayer behind my ATV or compact tractor. Had problems with remote turning on and turning off. Sometimes had to 'start' the sprayer with the wired switch & then remote would shut off, other times had reverse problem. After using once with each of towing vehicles the remote is now just an ornament on the key chain. Don't waste your money.

This item has many uses. It is small, reliable and easy to install. Since the remote has a separate on/off button, you never have to guess the mode of the receiver. I have two in use and I have used them for many months with no problems.

Batterys run down, remote get lost in field been nothing but a nightmare unless your spraying a back yard dont buy this expensive trinket
