Q: I asked about user manual for the Field and Stream Pedal Kayak. The answer gives reference to something available on the TSC website, but doesn't show WHERE on the TSC website to find it!

  • A: The Field & Stream 12 ft. Rogue pedal kayak features the CoreDrive system. Assembly requires the kayak hull, pedal drive, rudder system, and stadium seat. You can download the official Tractor Supply Pedal Kayak Assembly Booklet for step-by-step visual instructions.https://media.tractorsupply.com/is/content/TractorSupplyCompany/tsc/product/2/45/77/54/2457754_Man1.pdf Assembly Steps for the Field & Stream Rogue The Field & Stream 12 ft. Rogue features a CoreDrive Pedal System and a traditional sit-on-top fishing hull layout. Follow these steps to complete your setup 1. CoreDrive Propeller System Setup-Assemble the Pedals: Take the main CoreDrive unit and screw the left and right pedals firmly onto each side.Note on Threading: Be cautious with pedal nuts; check if your unit requires reverse-threading (counter-clockwise to tighten) on the left pedal crank arm to prevent it from loosening while you pedaling.Extend the Brace: Pull out and fully extend the integrated forward metal brace bar on the drive frame.Lock the Unit: Insert the drive down through the kayak's central deck hatch, position the lock plate behind the hatch cutout, secure it using the provided screws, and engage the locking pins to snap it into place 2. Stadium Seat Installation-Position the Mesh Seat: Place the elevated, breathable frame seat into the molded cockpit grooves.Secure the Straps: Clip the front and rear tension straps into the D-rings fixed to the kayak hull.Adjust Leg Room: Tighten or loosen the straps to lean the seat back or forward until your knees maintain a comfortable, slightly bent posture when resting on the pedals. 3. Rudder and Steering Alignment-Mount the Blade: Slip the rudder assembly post down into the vertical gudgeon bracket molded onto the stern (rear) of the kayak.Insert Security Pin: Lock the rudder post into the bracket securely by pushing the metal cotter pin through the bottom alignment hole.Connect Steering Cables: Guide the stainless steel steering cables from the hand-operated side-shifter through the hull guides and attach them to the left and right sides of the rudder T-bar 4. Accessory Gear Layout-Mount Rod Holders: If utilizing external rail-mounted accessory holders, slide the bracket bases into the built-in accessory tracks and tighten down the hand screws.Check Drain Plug: Ensure the threaded plastic drain plug located at the tip of the stern is screwed in completely airtight before launching
